Just a quick note to let you know that I have once again been a guest on Caroline Crampton’s highly entertaining Shedunnit podcast, this time discussing the novel The Sanfield Scandal (1929) by Richard Keverne.
As part of a project in which she is reading through the crime and detective fiction novels published as Green Penguins in order, Caroline asked if I’d be interested in trying a book completely unknown to me, and I gleefully accepted. So, what to make of this largely-forgotten effort from just before the Golden Age got truly golden? No spoilers from me here — though the episode does contain some concerning the novel, so be aware — but you can find our discussion here.
Enjoy, and I’ll be back tomorrow with S.S. van Dine’s The Scarab Murder Case (1930)…
